The BMW E24 635 CSi, produced between 1976 and 1989, was the pinnacle of the E24 range, and unlike modern cars, it focused on true mechanical feedback between driver and machine. Its M30 inline six-cylinder engine, displacing up to 3.5 litres, became a legend for its simplicity, robustness and ease of maintenance. The 635 CSi, by comparison, had over 200 horsepower and solid torque that was as useful on long journeys as it was in faster corners. Reliability and timeless design, combined with a balanced chassis, make this model a favorite among classic BMW sports cars.
This particular 1984 example has a 3.2-litre engine and automatic transmission. The engine has been partially rebuilt - but the head and pistons remain original. The bodywork has been overhauled, which includes the installation of new Bilstein shock absorbers and larger brakes from the BMW E34. New springs improve the car's stability, while a front M-spoiler (albeit non-original) and rear M-pack spoiler give it a sporty look. The interior has new upholstery, underlining the overall excellent condition of the car. Above all, the car boasts a successful participation in the Prague - Athens race, which it finished without any problems.
